Is a Motorhome and Campervan difficult to drive?
  • Not difficult, just take your time as it's a bit bigger until you get used to it
  • There are lots of single track roads in the highlands, remember if you are pulling into a passing place get as far in as safely possible and never use them to stop in for a break or overnight
  • Be careful when reversing, your passenger should guide wherever possible
  • They are not as fast as a car, you are on holiday so take your time and relax
  • Make sure you plan your route so your don't get lost and find yourself in a difficult turning position
Can I drive on a normal driving license?
  • Yes, our motorhomes and campervans are all under the 3.5 tonnes threshold so fine on a normal  license
  • Minimum Age is 25 to 75 years on standard insurance. Please contact us outwith these ages for terms.

Can I go anywhere in the motorhome or campervan?
  • You can go anywhere in the UK but if you want to go to Ireland or Europe you need to talk to us so we ensure you have the correct insurance
How much fuel do they use?
  • They are all 2.2l diesel engines so quite economical
  • About 30 miles to the gallon, depending how you drive it!
How will I know how to work everything in the motorhome and campervan?
  • We will spend about an hour before you set off showing you everything
  • It's all very simple equipment
  • Every vehicle has a quick check guide that you can look at if you have forgotten something
  • We will give you a contact number before you leave if you want to call and check anything  
Will it be warm enough for a winter hire?
  • All our motorhomes are fully insulated
  • All our motorhomes have double glazing
  • All homes have blown air central heating to ensure you are kept cosy
How long can I hire a motorhome or campervan for?
  • During peak season minimum motorhome hire is seven days
  • Additional days can be added at the daily rate
  • Minimum hire of 3 days at other times
  • Do check in peak season if you are looking for a short break, it is sometimes possible when we have had a 10 day hire  
What will I do with my car while we are away?
  • Free parking is available at your own risk
  • We can arrange airport and rail pick-ups
What do we need to bring?
  • 3 forms of identification for each driver, one must be your driving license (card and paper part) and of the other 2 must verify your home address.  Passport and utility bill or bank statement are ideal
  • Bikes can be arranged, please call us
  • Food and your personal items and bedding/towels if you are not using our service
Where can we stay with the motorhome and campervan?
  • Camp wild as long as you comply with road traffic law and the countryside code
  • Hook up to many campsites
What if something goes wrong?
  • Our motorhomes are new and well maintained so problems are unlikely but we have full breakdown cover in place should the unexpected happen
  • Call us on the emergency number we give you at your handover briefing.
